SLIDE THROUGH HISTORY
More than a century-old slide, a unique attraction in Quebec City. This impressive structure, which has become familiar to residents of Quebec, appeared on the Dufferin Terrace in 1884. A few years later, the iconic Château Frontenac, most photographed hotelin the world, was erected next to the slide, projecting shade on what we believe is the oldest attraction in town. It was then closed in 1981, but then again regained its appeal in December 1992 and has been operated since then.



Enjoy winter sports for free in an accessible and enchanting location with a spectacular view of the Saint-Lawrence River. The Plains of Abraham provides more than 11 km of ski trails laid out for beginner and intermediate cross-country skiers, a 3.8 km trail (round trip) for snowshoeing, and 5.6 km of walking trails. A waxing room and two heated rest areas are also available.
Take a breath of fresh air in the heart of the city while strolling on the ice on the Plains of Abraham. Located at playing fields, the rink allows visitors to fully enjoy winter, free of charge.
